Qi is a difficult term to define since there is no real concept of it in English. It is often translated as energy, life force, bioelectric energy, or vital force. It is responsible for all movement in the body and the environment. Its movement can be experienced as warmth or tingling. Qi itself has no substance. In the body it is circulated in the blood.
